Thakore Saheb KAMAL RAJ SINGHJI, present Thakore Saheb of Ambliara since 1992. Born 10^th October 1963, married Thakorani Pratibha Singh of Mahson, and has issue, three children.

Kumari Garima Singh, born 13^th December 1992, studying English Honors, in Sophia Girls College, Ajmer.
Yuvraj Janak Raj Singh, born 24^th January 1994, studying Electrical Engineering.
Kunvar Dhruv Raj Singh, born 1^st Febuary 2000, studying at St. Xavier School.

Short History

The Thakore Sahebs rank as Fourth Class Chiefs and claim descent from the Chauhan Rajputs of Sambhar or Ajmer, and are said to have received the grant of Ambliara in the reign of Emperor Aurangzeb. They are famous for the obstinate resistance they have more than once made to the Gaekwad’s troops. They are tributary chiefs, and pay the Gaekwad ruler Rs 316 per annum as ghasdana. The ruling Chief, was in 1930, granted enhanced judicial powers as fiollows:-

Civil – suits up to Rs10,000
Criminal – three years rigorous imprisonment and Rs5,000 fine.

The family holds no deed allowing adoption, and in matters of succession, the states follows the rule of primogeniture.

Thakore Saheb Shri Maan SARDARSINGHJI KESHARISINGHJI 1963/1992, born September 1923, completed Senior Cambrige from Mayo College Ajmer in the year 1940, and later took training of rulers from Baroda. Married Thakorani Kushal Kumari of Narauli zamindari, and had issue, two children. He died 1992.
