Short History

Ajabgarh pargana was conquered by Maharaj Madho Singhji who was second son of Raja Bhagwan Das, the chief of Amber in the 16th century. Raja Ajab Singh Rajawat grand son of Raja Madho Singhji built Ajabgarh Fort between the year of 1589 to 1594 and it was named after him. The ancestors of the family migrated to Thikana of Samra during the period of Raja Deva Singhji in 1755.

  • Raja Madho Singhji, 1st Raja of Bhangarh, born 1553/1554, he was granted mansab of 3000 Zat & 2000 Sawar in Emperor Akbar’s court, he married and had issues. He died in 1601.
