Short History

The Thakurs of Barli are a branch of the Deolia branch of the Bhinai family.

• Thakur SANWAL DAS, 2^nd Thakur of Barli, he adopted Kunwar Pahar Singh as his successor; married and had adoptive issue.

• Thakur MADHO SINGH, 9^th Thakur of Barli -/1886, he adopted Kunwar Moti Singh, son of Thakur Chandan Singh of the younger branch of the family (see above); married and had adoptive issue. He died 1886.

• Thakur MOTI SINGH, 10^th Thakur of Barli [1886-1893], born 1862 or 1866, he succeeded by adoption; married eldest daughter of Th. Mangal Singh of Chowkari in Jaipur State and had issue. He died in 1893.
  • Thakur Dungar Singh (qv)
• Thakur SHAMBHU SINGH, 11^th Thakur Saheb of Barli [1893-1940], born 1857, married elder daughter of Th. Gopal Singh of Chowkari in Jaipur State by his wife, a sister of Th. Laxman Singh of Jaola in Jodhpur State. He died in 1940.
• Thakur DUNGAR SINGH, 12^th Thakur of Barli
• Thakur NARENDRA SINGH, 13^th Thakur of Barli, born 30^th November 1929, Tazimi Istimrardar, educated at Mayo College, Ajmer; married Thakurani Sushila Kanwar, daughter of Thakur Kalyan Singh of Khachariawas.
