Short History
Founded in the tenth century by a younger brother of the Raja of Kutlehar. The state was overrun by the Gurkhas between 1803 and 1815, and after their expulsion, it was confirmed in the possession of the then Rana by a sanad from the British Government, dated 4th September 1815.
In 1893, the Rana was allowed to maintain a military force of 60 infantry and 1 gun.
