Short History
he Amethia clan were driven out of Amethi by the Shaikhs and moved eastwards into Haidargarh and Kumhrawan. Also known as Kumhrawan or Shivgarh or Sheogarh (from the later residence of the Raja). The Taluq comprised in 1929, 27 mahals and 6 pattis in Kumhrawan, 9 villages in Rae Bareli, 4 pattis in Inhauna, 3 villages and 11 mahals in pargana Mohanlalganj of Lucknow and 2 mahals of Manjhupur in Bara Banki, in addition, the Raja held the taluqa of Simarpaha which he inherited from Thakurain Dariao Kanwar (litigation pending in 1929).
