Rawat Shri VEERBHADRA SINGH JI, 16th Rawat Sahib of Deogarh (2012/-) (Deogarh Mahal, Gokul Vilas, Deogarh – 313331, Rajasthan, India), born 3rd July 1959 in Ajmer, formerly a Planter, presently (2009) a hotelier; married 1st May 1985 in Ajmer, Kunwarani Namrata Kumari, daughter of Air Vice Marshal Thakur Chandan Singh A.V.S.M., P.V.S.M. of Bagawas, and his wife, Thakurani Junu Kumari, daughter of Thakur Bhom Singh of Umaidnagar, and has issue, one son and one daughter.

  • Kunwar Mayurdwaj Singh, schooling from Mayo College, Ajmer. Graduated from Blue Mountain Hotel School, Australia – BBA and Hotel Management. Owner of Feldspar processing unit and managing Deogarh Resorts with an inventory of over 80 rooms. Married to Baijilal Kritika Kumari of Vijaynagar.

Short History

Rawat of Deogarh is descended from Sanga, or Sangram Singh, the son of Kandhal and the grandson of Rao Chunda. He is one of the Solah Umraos who enjoyed the highest status and rank in the court hierarchy of Mewar.

University, Baroda; he was a Tea Planter from 1996 to 2009 in Dooars, West Bengal for Duncans Industries L.T.D.; from 2009 to 2015 he worked for the Mehrangarh Museum trust as a Manager, Adminstration; from 2015 to 2020 he ran a sucessful home stay in Jodhpur by the name of Jaswant Niwas; in 2021 he shifted along with his family to his native village and is residing at his ancestral place called Fort Seengh Sagar; married 2001, Kuwarani Leena Singh of Bakhatgarh (M.P), and has issue, one son.

  • Rawat Shri NAHAR SINGHJI II, 15th Rawat Sahib of Deogarh (1965/2012), born 1932. He was a retired teacher from Mayo College, Ajmer, and a member of its general council and governing body. He also served as Chairman of Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer. Married Rani Bhuratna Prabha Kumari, daughter of Yuvaraj Alekshendra Kant Singh of Bhinga, and had issue, two sons and one daughter. He died 18th August 2012.

    • Thakur Shatrunjai Singh, born 7th January 1965 in Ajmer, formerly of a Corporate background with Reckitt and Colman and also with Tata Steel, presently (2009) a hotelier. He studied at Mayo College, Ajmer, and completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, followed by a PGDM in Marketing. He is co-owner of Deogarh Mahal and owner of Dev Shree Deogarh; married 10th December 1993 in Ajmer, Thakurani Bhavna Kumari, daughter of Thakur Sahib Pushpendra Singh of Ghanerao, and his wife, Thakurani Rajeshwari Kumari, and has issue, two sons.
      • Kuwar Mahadhriti Singh, born 11th March 1998, eduction from Mayo College and followed it up with his Bachelors in Hotel Management from WGSHA, Manipal and Master in Marketing. He was working with Mandarin Oriental, Dubai for 2 year and is currently engaged and managing the family hotel business.
      • Kuwar Bhagyaditya Singh, born 17th July 2000, education from Mayo College where he was the Polo Captain of the School Team and has a Bachelors in Hotel Management from WGSHA, Manipal. He is currently engaged in the family hotel business. He is also a national level Skeet Shooter.
