Short History
The Thakurs of Nawda are descendants of Rao Bharmal, the twelfth son of Rao Jodha of Jodhpur. His descendants relocated to the Badarpur Jagir in Malwa. Following their time in Badarpur, they moved to Khandwa, Ishrthuni, Badgara, and several other thikanas. Thakur Bhawani Singh Rathore was eventually granted the Jagir of Nawda from thikana Khandwa Bibi.
