Short History

Hakoji, the third son of Sangoji of Kotda-Sangani received in appanage a patrimony of 6 villages in about 1726 A.D. Out of the 6 villages, the two Hadamtala and Kharrera were allotted by the Taluka to its cadets, namely- Tamachiji and Raghabhai. Succession is ruled by primogeniture.

The Jurisdictional powers of the Taluka are as under:-

  • Criminal:- Three months rigorous imprisonment and fines up to 200Rs
  • Civil:- To the extent of 500Rs.

Succession is governed by the rule of primogeniture.

  • Thakore Shri KUMBHOJI I MEHRAMJI, Thakore Saheb of Gondal 1634/1679, son of Thakore Mehramji Vibhoji of Rajkot by his Chaudasama Rani, married and had issue. He died 1679.
